Jobber to Sage 100 Contractor, without re-keying
Jobber runs the quotes, visits and invoices in the field. Sage 100 Contractor runs the books, and someone in the office types every client, job and invoice in again. We build a sync that does the typing, on the same rules as our live Housecall Pro sync.
- Fixed-price build
- Runs on your own server
- The office still posts
The field already has the data. The office is copying it.
Every job typed twice
Clients, jobs and invoices are created in Jobber, then typed again into Sage 100 Contractor. When a job changes in one system and not the other, the two drift apart, and month-end turns into a hunt for the difference.
One place to create work, one place to post it
Work is created only in Jobber. Clients, work orders and invoices land in Sage on a schedule, with tax on every line, and nobody types the same information twice. The office reviews and posts, as before.
One way, from Jobber into Sage 100 Contractor
What a build would usually cover. The exact fields are set in your quote, around your own job types, tax and fiscal year.
| In Jobber | Lands in Sage 100 Contractor as | What comes across |
|---|---|---|
| Client | A client in 3-6 Receivable Clients | Name, email, phone and billing address. A client already in Sage is matched, not created twice. |
| Job and visits | An unposted work order in 11-2 | Job title, property address, visit dates, assigned team members and line items. Refreshed from Jobber until the office posts it. |
| Invoice | The same 11-2 record, ready to post | Invoice number, every line, tax per line, totals, and issue and due dates. |
| Payment | A flag on the record | Paid in Jobber? The record says so, with the date and amount, so the office can record the receipt. |
| Timesheets | By scope | Hours on the work order, or time for payroll, if your quote includes it. |
Rules the sync follows
- One way, into Sage. Jobber stays the source. Nothing done in Sage is sent back unless your quote says so.
- Never posts for you. Invoices arrive unposted, and the office posts them the same way as one typed by hand.
- Never changes a posted record. Once the office posts it, the sync leaves it alone.
- Safe to re-run. A second pass never creates a duplicate, and lines or notes the office adds are kept.
What goes into a Jobber build
Access to Jobber's API
Jobber approves custom integrations for specific customers and developers. We set up the app, and you connect it through Jobber's own sign-in, with no passwords shared.
A dedicated SQL login
For your Sage 100 Contractor database, scoped to your company, so the sync never runs under a person's login.
A copy of your company
We install and test against a copy first, so nothing touches the live books until you have seen it work.
Your time to test
Your office tries it on its own jobs and invoices, and every issue found is fixed before go-live.
The same rules as our Housecall Pro sync
A Canadian mechanical contractor has run our Housecall Pro to Sage 100 Contractor sync since September 2026. A Jobber build starts from the same design, fitted to Jobber's API and your own setup.
How the live sync works- About seven weeks from start to go-live on the live build, with a working demo in week three.
- Tested on a copy of the company before anything touched the live books.
- A monitor on the server shows when it last ran, what it handled and any errors, with the record and the reason.
- After go-live, the Integration Care Plan covers fixes when an update or a defect breaks the build.
Questions people ask
Does Jobber connect to Sage 100 Contractor?
Not on its own. Jobber's built-in accounting connections are for QuickBooks Online and Xero. Jobber does publish an API, so a direct sync into Sage 100 Contractor can be built, and that is what we build.
Does the sync write anything back to Jobber?
Not by default. Jobber stays the source and Sage 100 Contractor receives. If you want something sent back, such as a status once the office posts an invoice, we scope it in the quote.
Can our office still check invoices before they post?
Yes. Every invoice arrives in 11-2 unposted, with its lines, tax and totals filled in. The office posts it the same way as an invoice typed by hand, and once it is posted the sync never touches it again.
What do we need to provide?
A Jobber account you can connect the app to, a dedicated SQL login for your Sage 100 Contractor database, a copy of your company to test on, and time to test on your own jobs. Jobber approves custom integrations case by case, so we start that request with you before any build work.
How long does a Jobber sync take to build?
Integrations like this usually take three to seven weeks from a signed quote. Our live Housecall Pro sync took about seven weeks from start to go-live, including the client's own testing on a copy of the company.
What does a Jobber to Sage 100 Contractor sync cost?
Integrations and larger automations we have quoted and delivered have run $3,000 to $7,500 to build, in Canadian dollars before tax, plus the Integration Care Plan, typically $125 to $175 a month. Each one gets its own fixed quote after a free call. See typical prices and timelines.
